For a long time now I've know that the best way to settle my mind is to go on a long run. Sometimes I feel like the rhythmic sound of my sneakers pounding on the pavement helps me think. Sometimes I feel like the excursion of my muscles helps me not think. Sometimes I feel like I am running toward a mental resolutions, other times I feel like I am just simply running away.
It is just so relaxing being able to think things through until my thoughts slowly turn into little blurps of images, popping in and then popping out just as quickly. When I run, I don't have to analyze any of my thoughts, but can just let them freely come and go.
I have been running a lot lately. For what reason, I am not entirely sure.
